Getting Started
A lightweight journey through the essential steps for a school to start using Artstep.
Get Started with Artstep: Web, Artstep Pro and Artstep Student
Artstep International is used through three main surfaces:
Complete Basic School Setup: Campus Information, Classrooms, Subjects and Class Types
Before creating courses, classes and schedules, complete the basic setup for the campus you are working in.
Add and Manage Staff Accounts
Staff management lets a school create staff profiles for teachers and non-teaching staff, and create Artstep user accounts for staff who need system access.
Create and Edit a Course
A Course is the foundation for enrollment, classes, scheduling and tuition setup. Create the Course first, then configure its Fee Plans and use it in student enrollment and class management.
Add or Edit a Student and Contacts
The Student record is the foundation for Enrollment, Classes, Scheduling, Attendance, Tuition and Artstep Student access.
Enroll a New Student in Courses
Enrollment connects the Student, Course, Fee Plan, tuition and the Student's course rights. For a new Student, use the Student Enrollment workflow instead of creating only a Student record.
Create a Class and Assign or Reassign Students
A Class connects the Course, Teachers, Students and downstream Scheduling.
Schedule Classes: Recurring, One-Time and Conflict Handling
Scheduling places a Class on specific dates, times, Teachers and Classrooms.
Take Attendance
Take Attendance records each Student's actual attendance for a scheduled Class Session.
