Before creating courses, classes and schedules, complete the basic setup for the campus you are working in.

1. Confirm the current campus

If your account has access to multiple campuses, first select the campus you want to configure from the campus selector in the upper-left corner.

Classrooms, subjects, class types and other settings are associated with the current campus.

2. Complete the campus information

From the organization settings area in Artstep Web, open the campus information page and review the current campus details.

The current system supports information including:

  • School Name
  • Contact
  • Business Hours
  • Brand Name
  • Address
  • Currency
  • School tag
  • School LOGO
  • Introduction

Some of this information is also used in the school's presentation within Artstep Student.

Brand Name note: Brand Name locks after it has been set. Confirm the value before saving it for the first time.

3. Add classrooms

Open the classroom settings page, then:

  1. add a new classroom row;
  2. enter the classroom name;
  3. confirm the change.

The classroom name is required and the current page limits it to 24 characters.

Once created, classrooms can be selected in class and scheduling workflows.

4. Add subjects

Open the subject settings page, then:

  1. click Add Subject;
  2. enter the Subject Name;
  3. add notes if needed;
  4. click Confirm.

Subjects are used to categorize courses, such as English, Math, Art or Dance.

A subject is optional in the current course setup. Not every course must have a subject.

5. Add class types

A Class Type is used to distinguish course fee categories, such as a standard class, premium class or other school-defined type.

  1. Open the Class Type settings.
  2. Add a new class type.
  3. Enter the class type name.
  4. Add notes if needed.
  5. Save the setting.

Class Type is optional. The current product page indicates that a default standard class type can be used when no separate type is added.

Expected result

After completing the basic setup, you can continue with:

  • creating Courses;
  • configuring Fee Plans;
  • creating Classes;
  • Scheduling.
