Create and Edit a Course

A Course is the foundation for enrollment, classes, scheduling and tuition setup. Create the Course first, then configure its Fee Plans and use it in student enrollment and class management.

Create a Course

In Artstep Web, open Course management and click Add Course.

Complete the basic information:

• Course name
• Course Subject
• Teaching Mode
  • Group Class
  • One-on-One
• Description
• Course Status
• Course Image

You can select an existing Subject or add a new one when needed.

Set the Course Status

When a Course is active, students can enroll in it. When the Course is disabled, new enrollment is not supported.

If a Course should temporarily stop accepting enrollments, disabling it is generally preferable to deleting historical course data.

Enable Booking when needed

If the Course is taught by reservation, enable Booking.

The current Course-creation page does not show the normal Booking settings when One-on-One Teaching Mode is selected. Use the options available for the selected Teaching Mode.

After Booking is enabled, you can configure:

• how many days in advance a class can be booked;
• how many hours before class booking is closed;
• how many hours before class cancellation is closed;
• whether only teachers can make bookings for students.

Important: The current system states that Booking mode cannot be disabled after the Course is saved. If Teacher Booking is selected, that setting also cannot be removed after saving. Confirm the intended teaching model before enabling it.

Save the Course

Click Save when the basic information is complete.

You can then continue with:

• Fee Plans;
• Classes;
• Student Enrollment;
• Scheduling.
