Suspend Course temporarily pauses a Student's Course without ending the Course rights permanently.

The current product explicitly states that after suspension:

normal Course billing stops and Attendance cannot be taken for that Student's Course.

Use Resume Course when the Student returns.

Before suspending

Review:

  • Student;
  • Course;
  • Remaining Tuition;
  • Remaining Hours;
  • Valid Until;
  • whether the Student is temporarily pausing rather than transferring, withdrawing or closing the Course.

Suspend immediately

Choose Suspend Course and select immediate suspension.

The suspension starts from the current system time.

Schedule a future suspension

You can also set a Planned Suspension Date.

The current system starts the suspension at 00:00 on the selected date.

Set or leave the Resume Date open

When suspending, you can:

  • set a Planned Resume Date;
  • leave the Resume Date unset.

If no Resume Date is set, the Course remains suspended indefinitely until staff resume it manually.

A Planned Resume Date must be later than the Suspension Date.

By Term: extend the Course Duration or not

For a Course with a validity period, choose:

  • Extend;
  • Do Not Extend.

When Extend is selected:

  • immediate suspension: the extension starts from the second day after the operation;
  • planned suspension: the extension starts from the planned Suspension Date.

With Do Not Extend, the validity period continues to run during the suspension.

For a By Term Course, this choice directly affects the resulting Valid Until date.

Resume Course

When the Student returns, open the Course and select Resume Course.

The Course can resume immediately or according to a previously configured Resume Date.

After Resume, normal teaching status resumes and the Student can participate in Attendance again.

If the Course already has a planned resumption date or validity-extension rule, changing the Resume settings updates the existing plan. Review the current settings before confirming.

Suspension is not Course completion

Suspend Course is temporary.

If the Student will not continue the Course, use the appropriate lifecycle action instead:

  • Transfer Course;
  • Withdraw Course;
  • Close Course.
