Many art training institutions, especially small and medium-sized ones, rely on the reputation of renowned teachers for enrollment and operation. In recent years, due to the impact of the epidemic and many other factors, many small and medium-sized educational and training institutions are facing difficulties in enrollment. If it is a newly established institution, like other industries, acquiring new customers is a major challenge that needs to be faced.
What strategies can be used to solve the problem of enrollment and operate institutions well? Firstly, it is necessary to understand and grasp the positioning of the institution itself.
I. Find your own positioning
Positioning is the primary business strategy that many institutions should consider. The positioning of educational and training institutions should include the following points:
1. What kind of products are provided, that is, what types of courses are offered by the institution
2. Who is the main target audience served, that is, for whom the institution's courses are provided
3. What is the price range layer of the products provided, that is, the course prices of the institution
4. Where to provide services, i.e. the location where the course is offered
II. Determine the positioning method
There are three main ways to determine the positioning method based on different strategies.
1. Avoid strong positioning
The main characteristic of the strategy of avoiding strong positioning is to distinguish certain features or attributes of one's own product from strong competitors. By using this strategy, institutions can establish their image and gain a favorable position in the market. Generally speaking, this strategy is suitable for new business development, and with sufficient market conditions, the risk is relatively low.
2. Frontal positioning
The head-on positioning strategy, as its name suggests, directly competes with other institutions to enter the same market position as competitors through direct competition. Due to the strong momentum and high resource consumption of this strategy, the risk will also be higher. However, as with risk theory, high risk also means high returns. Once successful, it can effectively establish a new market position and bring huge advantages to future enrollment and institutional development.
3. Repositioning
The repositioning strategy mainly involves adjusting and optimizing existing products. If market demand changes due to changes in market conditions, institutions may need to consider repositioning and re evaluating their existing products (courses).
Small and medium-sized educational and training institutions have established core strategies and methods for positioning, and can now develop more specific enrollment plans and execution plans based on these. In this way, we won't be caught off guard or flustered by the market leading us by the nose.
Manage and record the consumption of class hours effectively
In daily operations, in addition to other management tasks, one of the essential tasks that institutions must do well is to keep track of course schedules and related records, as class hours are basically the core source of revenue for all educational and training institutions. It not only involves students and parents, but is also closely related to the institution itself and its employees.
Ⅲ、How to effectively manage the class hours of training institutions and ensure accurate records of course cancellations?
Firstly, adopt a complete record of class hours.
Because any incomplete or missing records will result in deviations in the records. For example, if a student actually attended 15 classes and the institution only recorded 14 or even fewer classes, it is equivalent to the institution charging less for the parents' class fees. After discovering the situation, it will take a lot of time and manpower for institutions to communicate with parents, and even escalate conflicts. Compared to paper records, records stored in cloud systems have more complete and secure data protection, and can be accessed anytime and anywhere.
Secondly, promptly handle course sales and update class hour statistics records.
Whether using paper records or system records, timely updates can ensure the accuracy of class hour statistics. Even with system software, making good use of its functions is an important step. If the class has already been completed and the sales cannot be processed in a timely manner, it is very likely to be forgotten by the staff. Compared to paper records, the advantage of using a system is that updates can be completed quickly. And after the record is updated, relevant personnel can access it without waiting for it to be archived and entered into the computer like paper records.
Finally, clear and timely notifications can minimize errors.
Using paper or traditional computer communication methods, every time the records are updated, the academic management personnel need to notify relevant colleagues internally and file them. If parents of students ask for consultation, they also need to check again and send relevant information. After adopting the management system, all work can be immediately notified through the system to relevant colleagues and parents, especially to make parents feel at ease. Additionally, even if there are any issues, they can be corrected immediately.
Positioning is an art training institution answering questions such as "Who am I", "What can I do", and "What do I want to do". And doing a good job in managing class hour consumption is answering the question of 'what have I done?'. By combining the two, utilizing data analysis, conducting regular reviews and retrospectives, and standardizing and institutionalizing the daily management of an institution, it is possible to operate it better.
